Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: September 21, 2026

This policy is part of the Skiffly Terms of Service. It describes what you may not do on the platform. We enforce it to keep the service reliable and affordable for everyone; violations may lead to throttling, suspension of workloads or termination of your account, and in serious cases to reports to authorities.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Skiffly to:

Mine cryptocurrency or run proof-of-work, proof-of-space or similar computations, including through browser-based miners or "distributed computing" clients.
Send unsolicited email or messages (spam), run mail relays, or send mail in violation of CAN-SPAM, GDPR or similar laws. Outbound SMTP (ports 25, 465, 587) is blocked by default; use a transactional email API.
Attack or probe any system: denial-of-service, port scanning, vulnerability scanning without authorization, brute-forcing credentials, credential stuffing, exploiting vulnerabilities.
Operate open proxies, VPN exit nodes, Tor relays, traffic tunnels or any service whose purpose is to hide the origin of network traffic.
Host or distribute malware, phishing pages, command-and-control infrastructure, or content that imitates another organization to deceive users.
Store or distribute illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or content that violates export controls or sanctions.
Scrape or harass: run bots that violate other sites' terms, harvest personal data without a lawful basis, or stalk or harass individuals.
Run high-frequency trading bots, automated ticket/limited-drop purchasing, or game cheats that violate the terms of the target platform.
Circumvent limits: create multiple accounts to farm trial credit, evade suspensions, share accounts, or interfere with the isolation, metering or billing of the platform.
Resell raw platform resources (for example offering "free hosting" to third parties) without a written agreement with us.

Resource fairness

Metered resources are billed, but the platform is shared. We may throttle or pause workloads that consume sustained CPU, memory, disk I/O or network far outside their plan limits, generate abusive traffic patterns, or cause operational problems, especially on unverified or free workspaces. Sustained 100 % CPU utilization on free or unverified workspaces is treated as suspected mining until explained.

Security research

Testing the security of Skiffly itself is welcome if you follow responsible disclosure: only test accounts you own, no denial-of-service, no access to other customers' data, report findings to security@skiffly.dev and give us reasonable time to fix them.

Reporting abuse

To report abuse hosted on Skiffly (spam, phishing, illegal content, attacks originating from a *.skiffly.cloud host or from our IP ranges), email abuse@skiffly.dev with logs, timestamps (UTC) and the hostname or IP involved. We act on well-founded reports promptly.
