Refund Policy
Effective date: September 22, 2026
This policy explains when money paid to Skiffly is refundable. It is part of our Terms of Service; where the two differ, this policy governs refunds. The Service is sold by Fluenta SAS (Punta del Este, Uruguay). Card payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, and appear on your statement as Paddle.
1. How billing works
Skiffly is prepaid. You add funds to a workspace balance, and usage (memory, CPU, volumes, egress) is charged from that balance every hour at the rates on our Pricing page. Paid plans (Hobby, Pro) charge a monthly subscription fee from the same balance at the start of each billing period and include an equal amount of usage. Nothing is charged to your payment method automatically: every payment is a top-up you initiate.
2. Unused balance
You may request a refund of the unused part of a top-up within 14 days of that top-up. We refund the remaining balance attributable to it, less payment-provider fees that we cannot recover. Refunds are returned to the original payment method:
- Card (Paddle): back to the card used, normally within 5–10 business days.
- PayPal: back to the PayPal account used.
- Cryptocurrency: in USD equivalent to a PayPal account you nominate, or, where that is impossible, as platform credit. We do not refund in cryptocurrency.
After 14 days, unused balance stays available for future usage and does not expire while your account is open; it is no longer refundable in cash.
3. What is not refundable
- Usage already consumed. Compute, storage, network and other metered resources are billed hourly for resources you reserved and we delivered.
- Subscription fees for a period that has started. Upgrades are charged pro rata for the remainder of the period; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period and the remaining days are not refunded.
- Promotional and referral credits. Welcome credit, referral rewards and similar credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be withdrawn in case of abuse.
- Balance forfeited after termination for a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy — for example crypto mining, spam or attack traffic. In that case we refund nothing, and we may charge for usage incurred before termination.
4. Statutory rights (EU/UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting to use the Service immediately — which is what deploying does — you ask us to begin performance during that period and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed; usage already delivered is payable. Your unused balance remains refundable under section 2. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
5. Service failure
If a failure on our side makes your services unavailable for a significant period, or you were billed for resources you did not reserve, write to us. We will correct the charge — normally as platform credit, or as a cash refund to the original payment method where credit is not appropriate. We do not offer a contractual uptime SLA on self-serve plans; see Terms of Service, section 6.
6. Chargebacks
If something looks wrong on your statement, contact us first at billing@skiffly.dev — most cases are resolved within one business day. A chargeback opened without contacting us may lead to suspension of the workspace until it is resolved.
7. How to request a refund
Email billing@skiffly.dev from the address on your account, or write to support from the dashboard, with your workspace slug and the date and amount of the top-up. We answer within 3 business days. Card payments can also be handled through Paddle's buyer support at paddle.net.
